April 18, 200421 yr Great use of Marte. Shut this down before they got going. Worry about the 9th later. Do we leave in Marte?
April 18, 200421 yr about Schoenweis - It was a high-quality outing. He was hitting his spots and was very much "on". He wasn't dominating (I don't think Schoenweis is ever really a "dominating" pitcher) but he certainly gets an A for efficency. He struggled in the first, gave up a single and a walk, but then got the DP to get out of it. He then was completly smooth and strong all the way until the 7th. From 1 out in the 3rd through the 6th inning, he retired 11 of 12. Very nice play by Uribe to end the 8th. 4-1 Sox going to the 9th.

I suspect Shoe will give us 6 or 8 starts like this, maybe another 10 or 12 that will be OK and God help us on the rest
April 18, 200421 yr Well of course when he comes out today and dominates it degrades my argument. I said that before I knew he got the double play by the way.
