Mark Prior possibly out for the year

Featured Replies

They just reported that he's gonna be out longer than expected and that he very well might miss the entire year. He threw off the mound a lil bit yesterday, but the team reported that's he's nowhere close to coming back to the club anytime soon. So it looks like the Cub fans r gonna have their excuse when they don't get to the playoffs this year.

Did they say he is having surgery, or he just isn't getting healthy or what????

They didn't say anything about surgery. Just that he's not healing and he's nowhere close to being ready to pitch. They also said that the team is scared to death that if they bring him back before he's 100% healed that it might mess up his entire career. So i'm guessing u can pretty much stick a fork in Mark Prior for 2004.

It's more speculation and BS...

I'll be in town from 1-2 May and 9-28 May.

Vacation is within spitting distance! :headbang

If he misses the season, it will be very sad to see it happen to such a talent like him. If he weren't pitching for the cubs, I would feel even worse for him. O well, he has to move on then, or try to battle back thru it.

Email me when the time gets closer!

If he weren't pitching for the cubs

Would you rather have him pitching for the Twins?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Its funny how he was only going to miss maybe 2 starts. Then he was going to miss a month, and now when they have all of those $250 tickets sold, he may be out for the year.

I think the Cubune company is taking lessons from Bill Wirtz.

I can only hope so

Once I hear a press release saying he is out for the year, then I'll believe it. There has been a lot of speculation, and I certainly wouldn't complain if it is true. :)
