May 16, 200421 yr ozzie is showing he knows how to motivate, but where was he the 1st two games? Ozzie shouldn't have had to motivate the first two games. This is the Twins.

May 16, 200421 yr Ozzie shouldn't have had to motivate the first two games. This is the Twins. Good point. Don't blame Ozzie for our lack of hitting these first two games. They should take it upon themselves and hit.

May 16, 200421 yr Let's really work their bullpen. Take pitches, get to the next pitcher, keep the line of Twinkie pitchers moving. Drain them.
May 16, 200421 yr 4 RBI, single, home run, 2 runs scored, harmless error. Defensive? Moi? See that's what's so funny about range: on a similar groundball Christian Guzman had a horrible read, made a step to his right and just gave up -- the ball scooted into LF. At least Jose has a good chance of making that play if he fields it cleanly, which he does 95% of the time....Guzman's non-play on an almost identical ground ball is no less "deservant" of an error, which would be have been his 8th or 9th, because both plays put a runner on 1st -- except for the fact he didn't even bother to reach for it so a home scorer has no right to charge him with E Over 160 games, there are countless similar examples. That's why going by error totals only is nothing short of silly. Jose, despite a typical slow start, is still ahead of many SS "out-for-out" -- and 920 ZR is just part of it. Hopefully he cuts down on these insanely frustrating routine errors because if he does, he has a chance to break the all-time ZR record of 960.
May 16, 200421 yr Hawk just mentioned how Buerhle has done a great job the past two games of getting ahead in the count, first pitch strike and such, and I totally agree. That is the key to Buerhle's success IMO.
May 16, 200421 yr And now I remember why I love the Chicago White Sox. This is similar to the 15-0 night we put up against Baltimore w/ Buerhle on the bump.
