AS voting

Wow that is bad. I think if I were a Red Sox, I would be in the top 3 at my position :headshake

It's all part of ESPNs East Coast bias This is a great indicator of how popular each team is. IIRC, there are Cubbies at every position in the top 5. If you were trying to appeal to a national audiance, wouldn't you be certain to feature these guys and their teams?

My idea: Limit the voting to season ticket holders of each team, but only 15,000 votes from each team can be counted. At least, you get an even playing field. ;)

Fan voting has got to go, especially now that the all star game means something. I'm sick of big name players starting year after year regardless of the season they are having. It possibly prevents guys that are having that one good all-star caliber year from getting in, and that's a shame.

Yeah, 'cause only season ticket holders know anything about baseball, huh? Please. :headshake

Marcus Giles is a good player, he's batting .339.

Is it so hard to believe he got a bunch of votes before that?

No.. *cough*Nomar*cough*

If that doesn't show why fan voting should be done away with, I don't know what will.
