June 10, 200421 yr Was it just me or did we make plays and just have the umps totally screw us over... I'm not trying to make excuses but it seems like we made some nice plays and just totally seemed to get s*** for it. Anyone else notice this or am I just imagining it?

What do you mean did we make plays?
June 10, 200421 yr Author Like when Crede picked up that ball that was obviously foul and it was called fair.... When that guy went around and the ump said that he didn't... When Uribe had that guy out at first with the bases loaded and 2 outs and they called him safe scoring a run... like I said I could of imagined it...
June 10, 200421 yr Jeckle, in no way did the umpires decide this game. There were two circumstances which did go against us. Coincidentally, both were made by the third base umpire: 1. Third inning: The grounder which Crede touched foul, but was called fair. Thankfully it didn't lead to any runs. 2. Fourth inning: With 2 outs, Miguel Olivo fires a snap throw into third. From all camera angles it appeared the runner (whoever it was) was tagged out. Hawk commented "I have no idea how he's safe." Every game has its share of bad officiating. Far as today, don't look much beyond the Sox for the reason this game was lost. Terrible pitching, lack of cluth hitting (outside of the ninth), and lack of fundementals (fourth inning from hell) decided our fate.
June 10, 200421 yr Yes the umps were much less than perfect tonight, but we would have lost anyway. So, no need to complain.
June 10, 200421 yr I was in my seats right behind the plate. The umps were squeezing the f*** out of Jon in the 3rd inning(the 7 run inning) Most of the runs were due to poor calls that resulted in walks.
