June 10, 200421 yr Author danman31, I don't know what Quiznos you ate at, but it isn't false advertising....they DO toast their subs. I've been to 2 different Quizno's and I do not consider what they do to them toasted. They run them through the machine for a few seconds and they say it's toasted. Pathetic.

Dude that's what toasting is....I've had mine get stuck in there once for only a few seconds longer and it burnt the bread....so you can't get much more toasting without burning.

June 10, 200421 yr Subway used to have a BBQ Pork Sub that was really good. Add some cheese to it with extra barbeque sauce and it was awesome. But they got rid of it (at least locally) lol
June 10, 200421 yr I had a footlong Italian BMT for lunch today and it was great. Subway got my vote.
June 10, 200421 yr When I used to work downtown some years ago I used to eat at Wall Street Subs in Northwestern train station. Absolutely the best sandwhich I've ever had on the best bread. Avanti's, down here in central Illinois, also has excellent subs.

June 13, 200421 yr If you live in the Chicago area, here are the 4 absolute best sub places... 1) Fontano's...on Polk Street (in the Taylor street area), they also have one on Jackson Blvd., across from DePaul. 2) Tony's Deli on Northwest Highway in Park Ridge. 3) Alpine, on North Avenue in Elmwood Park 4) Bob-o-Rinos, on Central near Addison If you have to go with a "chain"...Jimmy Johns.
June 13, 200421 yr I chose Quiznos because I love the Spicy Monterey sub. Everytime I go there my sub gets a little burnt but the sauce makes up the burnt taste! Subway is alright but I usually get the meatball. Never had any other subs from anyother place.
