June 12, 200421 yr NEW YORK (AP) -- Mike Mussina knew there was no arguing with pitching coach Mel Stottlemyre this time. Mussina left his start in the third inning because of tightness in his right groin, then the San Diego Padres capitalized on his absence to beat the New York Yankees 10-2 Friday night in their first game at Yankee Stadium since losing Game 2 of the 1998 World Series. With Brown already hurting to go along with the struggles of Contreas and Liber, the Yanks r hurting in the starting pitching department. They'll probably make an even bigger push at Garcia now.
June 12, 200421 yr Brown's back is also starting to flare up, expect them to pick up another arm very soon.

Their rotation is in total shambles these days & it's funny to watch! f*** THE SPANKEES!!!
June 12, 200421 yr Author Their rotation is in total shambles these days & it's funny to watch! f*** THE SPANKEES!!! You're right. But it won't be funny if they go out and get the pitcher we want. They're getting desperate now.
June 13, 200421 yr You're right. But it won't be funny if they go out and get the pitcher we want. They're getting desperate now. What do they have to give, besides Navarro and money?
June 13, 200421 yr What do they have to give, besides Navarro and money? Derek Jeter? Bernie Williams?
June 13, 200421 yr Yankee prospects are like the Sierra Desert drying up fast only high dollar veterans to offer.
June 13, 200421 yr Author What do they have to give, besides Navarro and money? I'm not sure. I heard something about them trading Contreas with them picking up most or all of his contract. I don't know. I'm just always leery of the Yanks around the deadline.
June 14, 200421 yr What do they have to give, besides Navarro and money? If i'm the seattle GM and the Yanks offer me a s*** load of cash for Garcia. Cash can do alot of things....
June 14, 200421 yr If i'm the seattle GM and the Yanks offer me a s*** load of cash for Garcia. Cash can do alot of things.... And Bud Selig won't allow it. He shot down a trade last year at the deadline because the Yankees gave up too much cash...I see no reason why he will not do it again. BTW, does Jorge Posada have a no-trade clause with his new deal? I'm sure if the Yanks are desperate enough, they'll pick up most of Posada's contract.

No way the Yanks trade fav. son Jorge Posada though.
