June 17, 200421 yr Newsday in New York apparently is reporting that the Yankees are very close to acquiring Freddy Garcia, and ESPN 1000 suggests the White Sox and Kenny Williams will have to do whatever it takes to get Freddy on the southside soon.
June 17, 200421 yr What the f***? f*** the Yankees. We need Garcia more than those assholes. :fyou Just f***ing deal with you and your stupid signings of old guys who get injured.
June 17, 200421 yr What do they have to offer Seattle who was reportedly going young?! I would bet that the catcher (Navarro) that they have in their system, and Contreras, and cash.
June 17, 200421 yr Author What do they have to offer Seattle who was reportedly going young?! Apparently they have been showcasing some 21 year old Dominican kid whos been playing solid.. I would bet Navarro is also involved in the deal.
June 17, 200421 yr If the Yankees get Garcia, KW better do ANY thing possible to get Ben Sheets, and ONLy Ben Sheets. Livan Hernandez is a stretch, but I'm not too fond of him.
June 17, 200421 yr If the Yankees get Garcia, KW better do ANY thing possible to get Ben Sheets, and ONLy Ben Sheets. as long as anything possible doesn't involve trading Borchard or Reed
June 17, 200421 yr Author If the Yankees get Garcia, KW better do ANY thing possible to get Ben Sheets, and ONLy Ben Sheets. The Brewers aren't trading Ben Sheets, period. We may have to look at other options such as Armas, Livan, Benson, Jennings, etc.
June 17, 200421 yr When will teams stop buying into these overhyped Yankee prospects? Really, who was the last one that they traded that turned out to be good? Mike Lowell? I'm sure Reds fans are still stoked about that Casey Claussen character they picked up last year for Aaron Boone. One other thing, isn't Newsday notoriously wrong in their rumor reporting? I'm not saying they are Sam Smith, but I seem to recall that they are wrong more than they are right.
June 17, 200421 yr Author as long as anything possible doesn't involve trading Borchard or Reed I know its in green, but hell I'd trade either one of them for Sheets. Ben is going to be a top pitcher in this league in a year.

Brandon Claussen but your right, the Yankees feed all teams crap and hype about their freakin prospects. The only "fair" trade I remember the Yankees making involving prospects was the Knoblauch deal to the Twins where they recieved Guzman, Milton and others.
June 17, 200421 yr The Brewers aren't trading Ben Sheets, period. We may have to look at other options such as Armas, Livan, Benson, Jennings, etc. I wouldn't mind Livan. Benson would be ok...but please not Armas or Jennings. If a change of scenery returned Jennings to his old form it would be great, but right now he couldn't get the ball over lake michigan.

He pitched well against my Red Sox last night, and hey he's an ROY for a reason. The kids got talent.

June 17, 200421 yr I'll believe it when I see it... If it will come to down to overpaying for Garcia, KW will win that contest hands down!!! NO ONE overpays like Kenny!
