I think its safe to say Loaiza has regressed back to his norm. I am beginning to believe last year was a fluke. He shows flashes of 2003 here and there but consistantly enough.

In general, that's what we all were afraid of.

Lee flies out to lee. Inning over.

4-3 Cubs going to the bottom of the 3rd......

Lee flies out. But damage done by Corky..

If one of you guys would have told me before the series, that out of Felix Diaz-Jon Garland-Esteban Loaiza that Diaz would have the best start, I would have said that we'd be in a position to sweep.

How odd things are, that Felix Diaz has the best outting out of the three of them. It's kind of scary to think that, though...

Also he is giving so many flyballs this year compared to last year. Not to mention the increase in the HRs he keeps giving up.

lets get a few more runs. and up he can settle down

Now thats Loaiza of old.

A hard cutter or slider in on the hands of a lefty. That was pretty.

And yet, he can still win (or come close to) 20 games..

It's not like his stuff is regressing though, it's his mindset of not pitching inside that has regressed. Last year, he threw to every part of the plate. Now he goes outside-outside-outside, and hitters are basically leaning on and over the plate.

And yet, he can still win (or come close to) 20 games..

We'll see....When's the last time he's had a decision in a game? He's done this a lot lately.

That's the beauty of baseball isn't it?! :)

He's still doing way better then his career numbers (minus last year).

I would of said that the Sox would of been screwed. It would of meant that Diaz was hit hard, but that Elo and JG probably sucked. The Sox can still get this game, Elo is more then capable of getting in a groove and shutting the cubs out the rest of the way.

Come on Sox :headbang

The good news is, Maddux doesnt seem to be able to stop the Sox either.

With Goowin in right, you run all day long.

He doesn't have a Billy Botch to f*** him up anymore. Koch single-handedly cost Buehrle and Loaiza a couple of wins.
