June 28, 200421 yr With the Garcia trade giving away Reed and Morse there are a couple spots open in the minors. Charlotte is due to call up an outfielder from Birmingham (probably Bikowski because he started the year in Charlotte). So this would seem as good a time as any to call up Anderson to Birmingham. Thoughts? Also who is going to replace Morse?
June 28, 200421 yr Could be Murphy, he has played quite a bit of AAA ball before we got him. I am in no hurry to rush Anderson, let him enjoy the success. I do not want him, Sweeney and Fields all pushed, we need them to enjoy some success.

June 28, 200421 yr Why is Rogowski still in A-ball? Has he done anything to deserve to get out, ok, he is having a good year, but it is also his 3rd year in that league.

Isn't your roadtrip including Birmingham as well? Perhaps he will get promoted during your roadtrip and he can ride to Birmingham with you guys. LOL Bikowski is out for a few days with a sore foot, so I doubt it will be him. Anderson should be called up. Murphy may be the guy to get the callup or they could promote Martel if they want to keep a veteran presence in Birmingham. Whoever gets called up will likely get little playing time. My guess is Valenzuela plays more OF and DH's less, and Borchard and Torres fill the OF. Martel could be considered an "organizational" type guy who could go up and not play a lot. Richard Paz and Reyes are your replacements for Morse.
June 29, 200421 yr Author Isn't your roadtrip including Birmingham as well? They cut Atlanta and Birmingham out of the trip to cut costs. Jason asked if I wanted to go, but it was way too much money. He says cutting Bham out cut costs in half.
June 29, 200421 yr Ya, Rex, unfortunately, Bham once again got cut out. I Think what I'm gonna do is when I get my free frequent flyer ticket, I'm gonna fly out to Bham for a 3 game series and see them. The trip was just gonna be too expensive if we planned Bham into it. Now its really affordable cause were staying in the Charlotte area.

I doubt it's A-gon b/c they probably want to give him more time in W-S since he's not exactly tearing it up there, so I have no idea. My best guess is that they'll probably move Reyes to SS, and call up Rogo to B-ham to take Morse's spot.

They already filled that spot when Morse was suspended by sending Paz down to AA to split SS with Reyes.
