June 30, 200421 yr :fyou Pujols's drop ;ast September all but killed the Cards off. Will this be Houston's undoing? Kent pulled up lame as well. Damn.
June 30, 200421 yr Author Luckstros run out of luck. Preach it, zero. If you would have told the Astros before the season that Cubs would lose Wood, Prior, Sosa and Maddux would decline.....I am tellling you their GM would be doing polka and making reservations in the 100-win Hotel. :puke

The only dancing this team looks capable of is on the 18th green in October when they come in a mere 3 over par.
June 30, 200421 yr The Slubs better send Biggio a big fat thank you card. That was pathetic. But in his defense. He's been in cf all year long. It's never easy when making a position switch. But damn. That's a play that should've been made.

Hawkins is a ONE-pitch pitcher now. If godforbid his impecable control slips just a little bit, he is gonna get TAGGED Cliff Politte-style.
June 30, 200421 yr Jimy Williams sucks Gammons says he's gone the day after the All Star game if the Astros don't turn it around in the what next 12-13 games
July 1, 200421 yr Author There were two positives, though: Beltran looked VERY sharp. Hawkins is a ONE-pitch pitcher now. If godforbid his impecable control slips just a little bit, he is gonna get TAGGED Cliff Politte-style. Glad to see Beltran beat his ass today. Two for one. Hawkins has lost confidence in his curve - he was hanging it so much, it became a liability. Now all he features is a 94 mph belt-high heat. Granted, when it's well located it's tough as s*** to hit, but if hitters start sitting on it and Hawk blows a few more games and loses confidence....that control will abandon him and people will start teeing off.
July 1, 200421 yr Author When I said that Beltran "looked very sharp today" on Tuesday, I didn't mean "good enough to hit 3 critical HR in the next 2 games". But I'll take it :fthecubs
July 1, 200421 yr Eh, i'll give you credit for the observation Brando. Don't feed the beast. It was an obvious observation, no need to inflate Brandos ego.
July 2, 200421 yr Eh, i'll give you credit for the observation Brando. Doesn't take a genius to recognize Beltran's considerable talent.
