7-29-04 Game Thread @ Detroit

This game is so huge because it's our 5th starter vs. their 1.  If we can somehow find a way to win this game, I like our chances in sweeping them.

same here, especially if Ivan is out for a while.

But let's take care of business today first!

Good job Clee, runner at 3rd 1 out.

Lets see Carl get the job done here. Carlos did his job and earlier in the game Willie did his thing for small ball.

You can see the Sox must of gotten a lashing. Hopefully it pays off. Come on Carl, get the run home.

Tie Game! Sac fly by Carl!

Timo should have bowled over the catcher... then they would be screwed!

Good baseball by the Sox there. SS has got to hold the Tigers down here. This is where the Sox pitchers have been struggling. We haven't had a lead in about 40 innings.

Young singles, it's time to get someone up in the bullpen.

Jose Valentin needs to be benched! we're facing 2 lefties the next 2 games. I hope to hell that he's not playing.

You're not going to get a much more tailor made DP ball than that one...
