Marlins placed RHP Armando Benitez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 23, with right elbow inflammation.

Benitez is eligible to return Saturday, so this doesn't change much. Guillermo Mota will close for the next few days, and Aaron Small will get to keep his roster spot for a little longer.

That's good to hear. I want the Marlins to take the wild card. They're gonna need Benitez to do that.
