September 7, 200421 yr What about Odalis Perez? KW was talking to the Dodgers about trading PK for him back before the season started. I hope KW still has an eye on him for next year. Would be pretty nice to have righty, lefty, righty, lefty, righty.
September 7, 200421 yr I wanted him last season, wouldnt mind having him next season, another lefty would be nice to put in that rotation
September 7, 200421 yr Anyways, I don't think he will make it out to FA...I do think the Braves will resign him...but if he did, and we could get him for $4-5 mill, I do think it would be a good signing. A multiyear deal for Wright at $4-5 million per year (realistic) would be a steal.
September 7, 200421 yr A multiyear deal for Wright at $4-5 million per year (realistic) would be a steal. Why throw that much money at someone that has never proved they can pitch in the major leagues
September 7, 200421 yr man that would be a nice rotation, different kinds of arms too, and a decent age average for them as well. I think ozzie would have an easy time speaking spanish to most of them as well, leaving mark and jon in the dark on that one
September 7, 200421 yr Why throw that much money at someone that has never proved they can pitch in the major leagues We threw more money than that at a guy who had 'proven' himself. That didn't work out too well.
September 7, 200421 yr We threw more money than that at a guy who had 'proven' himself. That didn't work out too well. Who would you been speaking of?
September 7, 200421 yr If I'm Kenny (which I'm not ), my top three targets, in order, are Pedro, Radke, and Perez. Pedro would bring a true number one to this team - damn, that would be friggin awesome, Garcia as our number three! Radke is an all around solid pitcher - and finally, Perez would give us two solid lefties in the rotation. BTW - maybe this is totally false, but for some reason, I remember seeing on this board, or just hearing somewhere, that Kenny is going to go after Randy Johnson via trade with Arizona in the offseason. Does anyone else remember seeing/hearing this?
September 7, 200421 yr I think wilson alvarez is a FA. i wouldn't mind him as a fifth starter/long man.
September 7, 200421 yr I think wilson alvarez is a FA. i wouldn't mind him as a fifth starter/long man. He would also be pretty damn cheap for the numbers he is capable of putting up.
September 7, 200421 yr pedro/radke seem to be the only consistent front of the rotation type guys that would be a possibility... that is what KW wants... the rest are middle guys... and kw doesnt want that
September 7, 200421 yr Damn that big red "X" is a stud.. Haha, sorry about that. I was talking about Billy Koch.
September 7, 200421 yr Radke should be #1 on the F/A list. Agreed. He has been killing us for years why not get him. Also this may sound crazy but why not go get Esteban again for a low amount of money. What were his numbers before the tarde. Chicago is different than New York.

What were his numbers before the tarde. Chicago is different than New York. Say no to esteban loaiza. He is back to his old form probally worse.
September 7, 200421 yr IF you want to bring back loaiza, sign him to AAA and let him get it right first
September 7, 200421 yr He is back to his old form probally worse. Thanx to that injury he's pitching with..
September 7, 200421 yr Wilson Alvarez would be a fantastic pickup as a spot starter/long man outta the pen...I'm not that enamored with Pedro for this team. ONe thing this team hasn't had in a long time is chemistry and Pedro would not be good for that...although lookin' at that fro every fifth day would crack my ass up!!!
September 7, 200421 yr Thanx to that injury he's pitching with.. If he is injured all he has to do is say you know what i am injured. He has to realize he is not getting a big contract. Hell he is gonna be lucky if he gets a guaranteed contract.
September 7, 200421 yr If he is injured all he has to do is say you know what i am injured. He has to realize he is not getting a big contract. Hell he is gonna be lucky if he gets a guaranteed contract. He was injured when he was here. He said he was going to pitch through it this season. It's not a major injury, just some tendenitis. When he was saying this, we were on a playoff hunt, and now he's stuck in one with the Yankees.

If it is affecting him that bad you get the surgery done right away.
September 7, 200421 yr I want Odalis first and foremost. I think he'd be an excellent fit on this team. He's pitching extremely well this season and has done so in the past. He's a competitor, would fit well with the Ozzman.
