Marlins to play at USCF

Featured Replies

I think even if the Sox did make some money off this, they should cut a check to Florida for the Storm relief fund. Just sayin.

We wouldn't get our seats unless we bought them. I would assume since no tickets are sold for it - all tickets would be avaliable (aside from F&F tickets of course).

That alone should bring them out in droves.

By the way.. ticket revenues would not belong to the Sox. The Marlins and MLB would have to decide if they wanted to discount prices.

It is indeed gonna happen ... Monday and Tuesday at U.S. Cellular, Marlins vs. Expos, each game at 1:05 p.m.

I Thought that tuesday was supposed to be a DHer.

What you are all looking for

Both Monday and Tuesday games will start at 1:05 p.m. ET at U.S. Cellular Field. All tickets will be general admission and cost $15, with $5 from each ticket going to hurricane relief efforts.

I'd like to think that those $5 are headed Florida's direction because of my incredible idea

I just sent an email to Brooks Boyer asking about making food or monetary donations. I think it would be an excellent idea if we could either all try to donate food or money if possible. Do people have any ideas of how to make things work? Maybe working out a drop point or maybe a paypal site to send donations to? Any other ideas or possible volunteers out there?

It was your idea that prompted my email asking about it.

overachiever :finger

Are the Sox people having much to do with this?

Nope. Barely anything other than staffing.

Damn, I'd love to be able to go to either of these games, but I have school.

That would be a pretty sweet game to attend, I'd love to see the Marlins. I'll have to see if my parents can get me out of school...

I think I shall attend at least one of those games. Should be a good time.

f***ing school. :fyou

Too bad they won't have a night game, or I would definitely go..

Same here. I really want to go... but I have school too. Who wants to ditch with me? Heh. Maybe the parentals will let me take the day off.

Miguel Cabrera is my favorite non-whitesox player..and i'd love to see him play.

I'm gonna try my hardest to get a ride up there for one of the games, even if I have to skip a class or two.
