The Critic
They're a little starved for offense right now. 2 goals on Friday in a 4-2 loss to Milwaukee and one goal at home by Grand Rapids, 5-1 final. Jud Sirott just said it was the worst Opening Night home loss in team history. 15,000+ showed up - I hope the Wolves are not gonna do like the Sox did this summer and always seem to blow in front of big crowds. SuperSteve
Is Chelios playing?
AngelasDaddy0427
Wolves will turn around. Have faith. They still own the Blackhawks....
NUKE_CLEVELAND
Wolves will turn around. Have faith. They still own the Blackhawks.... I agree. 0-2 means nothing.
danman31
With the way major sports teams in this town have done recently, I won't be surprised if the Wolves start sucking now that they are the main hockey team in Chicago.
The Critic
They're still trying to find an insurance company willing to insure Chelios for his $2.5 mil Red Wing contract. If they can find one, he'll play. If not, I guess he'll keep bobsledding. And I guess I wouldn't be AS concerned if they didn't look so helpless on offense in the two games. They had a lot of power plays and looked absolutely Hawk-like, dumping and chasing on the power play. They can't really sustain pressure in the zone and did a lot of one-shot-and-out. Xero
If you look in the past, the Wolves have always started out pretty bad and start to really heat things up in January.
Queen Prawn
The Wolves ALWAYS start out slow, this is nothing to worry about.
The Critic
7-2-0-1 the past 10 home openers. Only Steve Maltais has scored any goals for them so far. Maybe I'm over-reacting, and I hope I am, but like I said, it's less about the losses as it is how bad they've looked.
CWSGuy406
Wolves will turn around. Have faith. They still own the Blackhawks.... LOL. If you're implying that the on-ice team of the Wolves could beat the on-ice team of the Blackhawks - then you know absolutely nothing about hockey. Absolutely nothing. (then again, it's Jeckle posting it - so moronic comments are expected) Let's Go Nor-Folk! Let's Go Nor-Folk! Let's Go Nor-Folk!

CWSGuy406
Norfolk has solid roster this season. Vandemeer, Leighton, Anderson, Keith. Ruuty is supposed to go down after he gets better from the shoulder. Unfortunately Norfolk doesn't face Chicago - yet AGAIN - this season. Ruutu would absolutely roll anyone on that Wolves roster... (BTW - are Heatley and Kovalchuk playing in Europe or with the Wolves? They're the only reason I'd go to see the Wolves play...?)

Last I saw a touch over 200 players have gone over there, or about 1/3 of the NHL.
