White Sox World Series Tickets

Featured Replies

With Red Sox World Series tickets going nuts on eBay right now (averaging $1,500+ per seat), I thought it would be interesting to think about a "what if" scenario.

If the White Sox were in the Red Sox shoes right now, assuming regular priced tickets were sold out...... how much would you pay to see the White Sox in the Series? Be realistic please. Any idiot can type in "a million dollars". Try and think of the emotions you would be feeling about the Sox finally making the Series and what sacrifices you might make to be there to see it!

I would probably spend my entire life ssavings to attend each home game of the series. ($3000)

Honestly, and also in a 17 year olds financial situation, no more than $200.

But that price will rise once I end school, go through a college, and start working full time. :)

Whatever the Sox charge me. ;)

I really don't know what to say in words really...but I'd be willing to sacrifice a lot for something that once in a lifetime.

There are a lot of answers I'd need to know first to be quite honest with you. I probably wouldn't pay as much for game 1 tickets as I would for any game where the Sox could clinch it(6 or 7, I suppose). I guess that'd be my main question.

That being said...probably around $500-1,000. That's a lot of money, but to see the Sox in the World Series would be the best thing that could ever happen to me.

EDIT: That's assuming I actually had the money. Thought it might be obvious, but maybe not...I don't know.

you don't count in this argument steff........... lol

Actually, for the sake of argument........ let's say you don't have season tickets and were on the outside looking in for some reason........ what would you do then?

Face value for lower level tickets are $190, I believe. I had upper deck tickets in Atlanta in 1999 (had game 6, yankees won in 4) and they were $100 each.

Ditto - probably $500-$1000, and probably $200-400 for any game before that (assuming the game isn't a clincher).

And Steff, I'm also interested in knowing face-value of the Red Sox WS tickets...

I would give up my Family Guy DVDs! :o

So like $100?

Honetly, I get what you're trying to say.

I have to be honest... right now.. at this point in my life.. I would pay anything (the discovery of Tom Sawyer helps with this decision ;)

But Jim knows that I would pay whatever.. and go alone if we could only afford 1.

I've been to 4 WS in my life and every one of them was awesome. I can't even begin to imagine if the Sox were playing in one.

 ;)

Any amount I can get tickets. Obviously I would look for the lowest price because just being there would be mind blowing, but if the LOWEST I could find was a 1,000, I would pay to be there.

The Sox aint going to make it to the WS all that often, so you better not pass up the oppertunity. I would pay anything.

All that often? You mean NEVER ;)

Whatever it took..whatever it took. I'd probably pay like 1000 bucks if it were the clinching game, but I'm pretty sure I could get them for less. I'd call anyone and everyone I knew just to try to get a set of tickets.

If it were a Game 7, I would bet they go for more than $1,000.

All Star tickets in the LD outfield went for $1000. If the Sox made it the series.. I'd bet they'd be every bit as expensive as the Red Sox tickets are now for the simple reason that it never happens. The Yanks tickets a few years ago were only selling a few hundred over face. I think my uncle paid $450 for seats down the 1B line.

Except you can't stay in the lots during the game. If you don't have a ticket you have to leave the lot. You can leave your car there, but you can't party in the lot. Insurance reasons.

I already own a White Sox World Series ticket, a stub anyway-for Game 6 of

the 1967 World Series, to be played at "White Sox Park."

Alright so I park on the street. Steff, dont ruin this WS expierence for me, I have it planned out.

LMAO!! I'm sorry Tony. I wouldn't worry about it. The atmosphere would be crazy all over Bridgeport I'm sure everyone would be partying!!!

Thats f***ing money right there!

If it was game 1 and Freddy Garcia was pitching against Mark Prior at the Cell.... I'd drop a 1000 easy on that game.... if it was game 7 at the cell and Mark Buehrle was duelin Wood or Zambrano or whoever.... i'd find the 4g's to go see it.

Don't worry steff, if all else fails I'm gonna say I know you and hope somehow that gets me into the park :D
