October 23, 200421 yr Woohoo, let's boo our 3rd base coach at the World Series introductions. It's because his teeth were yellow.
October 23, 200421 yr I've been trying to decide who I actually want to win this thing. The Cardinals are my favorite NL team, but I am an AL fan. If Boston wins it, it puts and end to the talk of the curse, which is a good thing in itself. Of course, we'll have to listen to east coast bias in staggering quanitities next year. If Boston ends their curse, then that will give those idiots that watch the Cubs hope, so that sucks. When it comes down to it, I think I'm gonna pull for the Redbirds so those jerks on the coast know that there are teams in the Midwest that know how to play this game too.

Plus, Boston needs something to talk about, they can't win this.....
October 23, 200421 yr Judging by the coverage, you;d have no clue who Boston was playing. ESPN Classic had a Boston love fest all day.
October 23, 200421 yr Author Yeah, I picked the BoSox. So I guess i'd like them to win... But I would like to see the Northsiders hated rivals take another title, and cut the legs from them somehow living vicariously through Boston. So I guess Go Cards, unless you lose, in which case, I called Boston.
October 23, 200421 yr Ugh - Aerosmith is ok, but I'll take one of the Operah singers that the 'Hawks always get to sing their anthems any day. Tony, you know the guys I'm talkin' about, right?

October 24, 200421 yr I know who you're talking about, they have those guys at Bulls games too. Those guys sing the anthem so well. Quick and to the point, they actually say the correct words. I get chills when I'm standing their in the UC.
October 24, 200421 yr I raced for the mute buton quickly when he started playing the harmonica. Seriously... :puke :headshake
October 24, 200421 yr That was a REALLY nice play by Walker. I didn't think he had that that still. Ortiz hits a hr. (Why did that look foul on the camera?) Pitching wins championships...but when everyone's pitching is questionable, pound the crap out of the ball. Then Millar bombs it off the Monster. Cards starting pitching is their Achilles' heel.
October 24, 200421 yr What a great bunt by Edmonds. Not only did he hit it right -- he squared around at the perfect moment. Great technique, and I'm not even a big fan of the bunt.
October 24, 200421 yr 7-2. Thanks Everybody who gave me the ol' "Congratulations" in the other thread, I appreciate it. but wait.. WH? You want the Red Sox now?
October 24, 200421 yr Thanks Everybody who gave me the ol' "Congratulations" in the other thread, I appreciate it. but wait.. WH? You want the Red Sox now? As soon as they went down 3-0 I was for them.
October 24, 200421 yr Tim Wakefield walks the bases loaded. No outs. This guy can't find the strike zone. Opportunity for the Cardinals to do some damage.
