Why do you think that everett will be on the bench and escobar will start in front of him? Escobar has basically proved nothing in the majors thus far to deserve the starting job. His minor league numbers were decent but nothing very great.

I forgot about Everett and Burke

Just wishful thinking.

Lee-LF

Konerko-1B

Contreras

Garland

Shingo

Marte

Politte

Adkins

Cotts

Osuna(FA signing, this is who I want. I wanted him back last year)

Nothing special, will have a shot for The Central.

Escobar- RF (outplays Everett in Spring Training and wins the job)

Only way escobar gets the starting job is if he hits about .600 in spring training next year and everett hits under .150. I am being serious to. Escobar does not bring much to any team as a starter at this point in his career.

well i make this post in mind to what i think as the season progresses it will end up being

DH: Frank Thomas

C: Ben Davis

1B: Ross Gload

2B: Uribe or Harris whichevr earns it

SS: Pedro Lopez( i think one of harris or uribe are really going to suck and KW already said it would be worth having him in there if for nothing else defense)

3B: Joe Rocking Crede

RF: Everett and eventually Aaron Rowand

CF: Rowand but eventually Brian Anderson

LF: Carlos Lee

Starting Rotation:

Mark Buehrle(3.25era 17-10)

Freddy Garcia(3.80era 15-12)

Matt Clement/Odalis Perez(feel like its going to be 1 of them)cant predict era

Jose Contreras(3.50-4.50era 14-15)

John Garland(4.25era 16-12)

Bench: Eventually Everett, Timo Perez, Uribe(or Willie), Burke, and Herbert Perry =p

Bullpen: Shingo, Marte, Pollitte, Cotts, Diaz, Adkins, and Jorge Julio

My hopes are that its perez over clement and i honestly think that this team can make run for the playoffs behind good pitching...

Batting Order

Willie Harris(.275-.285avg with a .360-.380obp)i like him more than uribe

Aaron Rowand(.285-.315avg with a .350-.370obp)hopefully he works off last year

Carlos Lee(.300-.320avg with a .350-.360obp)predicting Magglio Numbers

Frank Thomas(.275-285avg with a .420obp)Frank is the man

Carl Everett(.250-.320avg with a .340obp)All depends on himself he has the tools

Ross Gload(.275-.315avg and a .350obp)he is the real deal and great defense

Joe Crede(.235-.270avg with a .330obp)anything this year is an improvement

Ben Davis(.180-.240avg with a .280obp)was a bust b4 us and still is a bust after us

Pedro Lopez... never seen him play so dont know but cant imagine it being good

Also id assume we get more than jorge julio but dont know what so didnt say anything.

The only thing that concerns me about Frank is that whenever he comes back from injuries he has a down year, IIRC. I'd have to look up for sure though. I hope he can explode this year though. He is the man.

I'm partially wrong. In 2002, he only hit .252 but the power numbers were there. I remember Frank having another inury for some reason though.

yeah if frank has a down year that can seriously danger our chances of going to the playoffs... but if we sign odalis perez or clement that means our team will be based around pitching and our 1-5 could pitch a gem anyday even garland who we under appreciate. les put it this way with a seattle like offense from last year we could win with that pitching in our division it would be tough but can be done unless the twins find another great pitcher.

Harris-2B (breaks out in Spring Training and explodes in 2005, I'm waiting for the jeers)

Will the sound of chirping crickets do?

Will the sound of chirping crickets do?

Well, we agree on this.

I would love to be 100% wrong.
