December 3, 200421 yr I'm not sticking up for Giambi, but why are the NY papers killing him when they just let Sheffield off with hardly a mention? He supposedly didn't know either. Who do these guys think they're kidding?

December 3, 200421 yr Sheffield knew, him and bonds are just playing dumb now. Exactly. Sheffield and Bonds deserve less sympathy, IMO, than Giambi. At least Giambi has admitted he knew what it was. The other 2 are just full of it. Anderson probably never said 'Here's this steroid I want you to try' to ANY of these athletes. Here's how Giambi puts it acc to the SF Chronicle: "Yeah, I mean, I -- I don't know if we got into a conversation about it, but we both knew about it, yes," Giambi told the grand jury. Giambi said Anderson described "the cream" and "the clear" as "an alternative to steroids, but it doesn't show on a steroid test. Sheffield and Bonds are just lying, they knew damn well, just like Giambi did. But b/c the word was never used, they think they're clear.
