December 12, 200421 yr I could -- As far as his defense goes -- The best measurement I know for defense is UZR, which unfortuantely anavailable for 2004 because it's "owned" by one major league team -- I do have his 2000-2003 numbers, when he saved about 17 runs per 162 games(good for sixth best in baseball among SS) On offense he's a .271/.334/.399shortstop -- while the average SS has been about .26something/.320/.395 over the same time span I would say that a player who's above average offensively and defensively at their position is a "good" player. Well, it's hard for me to discuss a statistical measure that I know nothing about; however, he's a 25 error per year guy; so if he saves 17 runs a year, which I assume is net, then he grosses a lot more. I find that hard to believe after watching him play. Why did Houston give this guy up for a guy they KNEW couldn't hit named Adam Everett (Everett couldn't hit a lick in the minors and can't in the majors either)? In 2002 he played only 88 games; because they were aware of his deficiencies

Houston cut him immediately after reports of him beating his wife broke out. They didn't want to keep him on the team due to that.
December 13, 200421 yr Pinella will go crazy if they trade Huff. And Huff's value isn't exactly as high as it was this time last year.
December 13, 200421 yr Also Tampa Bay just acquiried a catcher, Kevin Cash from Toronto for Chad Gaudin, so the reports of them shopping Hall could be correct.
