Heard a report on by Tim Kurjkin saying that the Whitesox are talking to Tampa Bay about Aubrey Huff and Toby Hall

From where did you hear this? ESPNNews, ESPNRadio?

 

Hall isn't much better than what we have now at C, but a lot of people on this board (including me) really like Huff. I wonder what interests Tampa Bay that we have...

Ken Rosenthal was on sporting news radio yesterday and reported that the Sox and Pitt are talking about Jon Garland and several high prospects including B Anderson& R Sweeney for Craig Wilson&Oliver Perez.

Has this been reported in Chicago as well..

He was on WQYK ESPN radio 1010 yesterday afternoon mention that Charles Johnson might be the new C of the Devilrays and than he reported that the Rays are talking to the Wsox about Hall and Huff

me either i could see no reason why they would trade huff.

E-mailing back and forth with a friend of mine in Florida, he was saying that the D-Rays are looking for 1B help so maybe they would be interested in Paulie K. Huff would be a good addition in anyone's outfield but Hall is a waste of space. As a few others said....he's no better than what we have and i think he would be a small step down from Davis. Maybe with the emergence of there SS prospect last year (can't remember his name) maybe they would trade someone like Julio Lugo. He's a middle infielder who can play short or second and he's got a pretty good arm and got good range and speed. Bat isn't the greatest but he'll be better than what we had there last year.

The Rays are looking to unload money so thats why Huff and Hall are on the trading block...

I was more envisioning a trade with the Bears where they get Borchard and the Sox get Hutchinson. Sounds good to me!

Makes no sense that they would want to trade him. He can play 1st, 3rd, right field, and a little left field. He is also signed to one of the more affordable contracts for the numbers he puts up.

I saw him play for several years with the Astros - he's an awful shortstop.
