ChWRoCk2
Looking who we got Dye Spod vizcaino and more to come hopefully , id say the sox have had a good offseason so far and i am pleased with the direction they are going in. Chisoxfn
Incomplete. The Sox need another starting pitcher and no matter what i'm not going to be pleased until they get that. But I like the direction Kenny is going and think he's got himself in line to have a good productive offseason.
Palehosefan
Without a top of the line starter, I give the offseason a failing grade. Getting Dye is good, Hermanson is solid. Lee for Pod, Vaz, and PTBNL is incomplete without a good pitching signing. Without one, that trade doesn't impress me. With it, I think we are definitely a better ball club. greg775
I'd give us a C- right now. We have an improved bullpen on paper, and allegedly improved defense in outfield, and more team speed. However, our lineup is not strong and we need another stud starter. The key is to spend some of this money and fill some needs without giving up any more talent. Free agency anyone???? thedoctor
the sox could trade their entire roster for a pair of dusty baker's old underpants and i still would not be a cub fan.

Yossarian
I don't know what everyone is so happy about. Replacing Lee and Ordonez in the lineup with Dye and Posednik is a definite downgrade. Please no lectures about Pos speed blah blah blah. We still only have two starting pitchers I have any faith in. Contreras and Garland are iffy at best. The number 5 SP is still a big black hole. Garland should be the 5 in my estimation. Contreras is so inconsistent and unpredictable, he's no better than a 4, maybe worse. The only bright spot is that the bullpen appears to be moderately strengthened. Right now this team looks 5 to 10 games below the 04 Sox. I'm not overjoyed at the direction of this team. UofIChiSox
I voted indifferent, but not because I don't like what we've done or where I think we're going. Basically I just voted that way because if the season started today, I wouldn't be too happy with where our team is, we lost two big run producing bats and gained a speedster, some bullpen help, but NO starter. There is a lot of offseason left though, we need that starter!!
