Am I missing something, why all the haters? Is it just the money he's being paid, because he put up pretty good numbers last year.

He's awful, he might have had a lot of wins last year but his era was high, he's an extreme flyball pitcher, that mixed with him coming to the american league would have his era around 6 or even higher, plus the fact he wants 7 or 8 mill......

4.75 era/ 1.35 whip/ and a 0.59 career g/f ratio worst int he majors and thinks he is worth 7-8 million dollars per season.

I didnt know too much about him, but if he's a flyball pitcher like you say, then he would definately not be a good fit with us. I was looking at the free agents that are left and I saw him and he was a lefty thought hey why not...but thanks for all the replies!!!
