Weird to see Caballo in a Brewers hat.

Why haven't we had press conferences for our new guys?

They should be happy. The Brew Crew got a good player who hopefully will place them atop that division for a long time.

Geoff Jenkins is really a team player. He coulda probably said he wanted to stay in left field or given it up unwillingly, but he instead basically gave it to Carlos.

Good to see really. I'll have no problem rooting for Carlos to continue to succeed.

Its a great article, but it really makes me think. I am not sure if Carlos can succeed in the cleanup role, nor as being the "man" in the lineup. i always thought that Carlos hit his best in the #2 hole when there were big bats behind him. Im not sure if he will clear 30 bombs this season or even bat 300, it is yet to be seen however.

I still miss seeing the Brewers in the A.L. Central though. I remember seeing a few brawls between the Brewers and Sox a couple of times on SportsCenter.

Don't forget, he'll be going to Wrigley about 9 or 10 times this year. We all know how well he hit there regardless of where he is in the lineup. It'll be nice to see him light up Dempster or Hawkins in the late innings :D :D

yeah, but I feel that somehow he will not live up to expectations, he has never been one to fare well under pressure.

I'm guessing his experience with Maggs and Thomas out of the line up proved to himself and the Brewers that he could be. I believe he is on about a 3-4 year run of improvement. I will be surprised if he isn't an all-star in 2006.

because KW isn't finished with his moves yet? and possibly wants one HUGE press conferance with all the new faces there.

plus i am in the thinking that this is all going to be used for the soxfest. which in itself is a great pr.

But he came at a cost. To get Lee, Melvin parted with Podsednik, the team's cover boy and Vizcaino, it's most reliable setup man.
