I did... but here's a couple Jose clips instead:

Jose's second of 3 homers against the Royals.

Jose's third of 3 homers against the Royals

Hawk's home run call sounding like it was recorded in a shower

Chimp Caray bragging about Cubs bullpen, as Moises Alou lets a popup drop. Cubs blow the lead and go on to lose the game

I want the Ron Santo sound bite... Of NOOOOO NOOOOOO!!!!

Anyone have "C'mon Timo! C'mon Timo!" ?

That's classic Hawk.

What is the general feeling about Hawk among Sox fans? Just my opinion but I can't stand guys that are such blatant homers. I'd rather have someone who has enough guts to criticize the home team when they deserve it.

i absolutely LOVE hawk! And even though he is a homer he still criticizes the players when they deserve it. i think of hawk as a regular sox fan that happens to be on tv and gets to interact with the players. It seems like he talks and acts just like any other sox fan would act with the cheering during excitement and the pissed off tone of voice when the sox are sucking it up. I think he is perfect.

On a sidenote, EvilJester where do you get those pictures for your avatar? :notworthy

As far as Hawk, I love the dear-air silence wherever the opposition draws a walk, etc. I can tell he's a true Sox fan. I could that he really wanted Caballo to get his 100 RBI at the end of the season last year.

I love hawk.

He's a fan of the team he covers, a very passionate fan.

I'll take him any day over a cookie-cutter bland corporate guy.

When the sox suck, hawk's pissed, when the sox are going strong, you can tell it effects hawk.

I love it.

I'd kill for that soundbite. His best call ever. My family and I were bent over laughing watching that game.

I hear what you're saying, but does he criticize the team when they deserve it? Does he consider every call that goes against the Sox to be a bad call? I don't mind a guy being a fan, just as long as he's objective.

if your a non-sox fan, i could see why you wouldn't like hawk, he's not the most fair-minded person in the world. But coming from a fan, where you can relate to his emotions so much, I love it.

Yes, he doesn't criticize as much as he should sometimes, but we have enough people here to do that.

Anyone got a "He Gone" sound byte, or a call of "You can put it on the booooooard, YESSSSSSSS" ? :huh

The Hawk is like watching with your best friend. Sometimes i feel like he is talking to me directly...or reading my mind. He is a homer, but besides being paid by the Sox, he's been with this team for almost 25 years. That'll make anyone a fan. DJ on the other hand.......

:stupid :lolhitting

Every season I look forward to listening to Hawk again. Yeah hes a homer but you can tell he is pissed just as any sox fan would be when they are not playing well. I love hawk.

Check out the third link in my second post. ;)

I have the Ron Santo call play for whenever someone signs off on AIM, and I believe you can find the sound clip somewhere on Mike North's website. :D

Hawk is the voice of the Sox. I can't imagine liking the Sox and not liking Hawk.

although I like hawk, I truly don't understand your comment. I do not have to like any of the announcers just because I like the team. I don't get it. I think what you meant was hawk is the signature voice of the team.

When I listen to those,it gives me the chills! Gotta love Hawk!! :headbang

does anyone have the nana hey hey goodbye sound bite, also i have nextell how do i put them on my phone?

if only wimpy was still around to lose a few dozen golfballs.
