LosMediasBlancas
There is a small article in today's Sun Times about how ticket sales for the Baltimore series have been boosted due to them acquring Sammy. Boyer is quoted as saying he is taking suggestions from Sox fans about having some kind of promotion for those games, like smashing a boom box. Personally, I think we should let whatever happens happen. We often get critized for being obsessed with the Cubs and not our own team, so let's not use frickin' Sammy Sosa as a sales pitch. That would play right into the stereotype. What do you guys think?

bjm676
How about no promotion at all? Except for the usual boos and chants, we don't need to feed his ego anymore.

Guest JimH
I would not have a promo but I would try to subtlely market to Cub fans. Let them come and boo him, cheer him, whatever ... and let them add to the White Sox bottom line.

Yeah, they could give a SamME bobblehead with a cracked batting helmet, and a button that you push to hear this sound: "AHHH-CHOOOO!" and then the bobblehead folds at the waist and you hear this sound: "AIYEEEE!!!" ...and then the bobblehead can't get back upright for 6 to 8 weeks... Punch and Judy Garland
I hate the idea of trying to get Cubs fans to switch. I menan you've met them right? Oh well, necessary evil I guess.

Half won't know the score or the inning at any given time, and many will try to goad others around them into a fight. It will be reported on ESPN and everyone will say the Cell is a dangerous place and Sox fans all live in the same trailer next to the Ligues. CSF
I agree no promos of any kind should be done during that series. Though I would hang a banner outside of the Cell that would say: Cub fans welcome. Come for the booing. Stay for the churros.

Rex Kickass
Just play a sneeze effect at every at bat, and maybe get Nancy to play him in with some punny song. I'd be more interested in seeing a new Disco Demolition night myself.
