February 1, 200521 yr Lakers radio reports it's due to his recent stomach infection and the team not responding to him. However, The Lakers brass has not confirmed that he is in fact stepping down. He wasn't at practice again today.

Is the Phil stuff for real, or just joking? In that case, maybe Larry Brown has a new dream he'd like to fulfill
