Was wondering if any of the Soxtalk.com "peep-u-lation" would care to plan a weekend game where we can all meet and take over the outfield above the bullpen?

 

Not sure who would be interested, but since I live in bport and have parking passes, I can help out with those for a few of you who don't.

 

Of course this is probably something you all do every year, but I've never been a part of it, so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in such a thing.

 

That'd be sweet. I've wanted to do this before but who listens to Beastly...

But you know, there would probably be some people who want to discuss baseball without a tense atmosphere, as sometimes there is something here.

I don't understand it...big deal, so you meet some people and have a few beers together...what's the big deal. Having different opinions about baseball and our favorite team is part of being a fan...it doesn't have to lead to real life conflict and fights.

I agree with you! There are others that won't agree with it.

A lot of it could have to do with this worlds shallow view on what makes a person a person. Some might not be able to afford the best cloths, or look the best, etc...so they are afraid they will not be accepted...I get that, but it's nonsense.

 

I grew up in Bridgeport before this sudden explosion of property value/northsider like invasion...so I know what it's like to grow up without money.

 

Doesn't make you less of a person.

 

I think if you make people feel comfortable around you in a sincere way, that's what being a good person is all about.

I love the few beers part...I bet many people here couldn't even drive to the game.

Well since I'll be 30 this summer, I think I'm of drinking/driving age. Besides, I walk to the games since I live in the same neighborhood...so no drinking/driving for me!

Haha, well I meant that everyone (including me) are too young to drink....legally ...but thats a good point too.
