February 25, 200521 yr QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 05:30 AM) Toine will play more than Al. Raef can play center on occasion (Blount sucks). Davis continues to come off the bench at the 3. No big problems. Is it that Blount sucks because he's not in a position to succeed? Because the general consensus is that he's a damn good on-the-ball interior defender who can give you some rebounding. I think that Al Jefferson should be getting between 20 and 25 minutes per game. That won't happen if Antoine plays some PF.

That won't happen if Antoine plays some PF. He also has one of the higher field goal percentages in the last two years and can shoot free throws at an acceptable percentage. Too bad he isn't chucking up s***ty ass shots liek walker does all the time. Maybe he sucks because he is not averaging twenty a game while shooting .415 from the field and free throws at .534? February 25, 200521 yr Courtesy of 82games.com, key stats of Walker for this season; On Court - -12.3 Off Court - +5.4 Team Net - -17.7 Offense points per 100 possesions ON Court - 98.6 Offense points per 100 possesions OFF Court - 112.4 Defense points per 100 possesions ON Court - 112.4 Defense points per 100 possesions OFF Court - 98.6 Effective FG% - 45.6% Effective FG% Allowed - 51.2% We know Walker's a good scorer, and has been an all star before. However there's been a reason he's been traded about 3 to 4 times now, and I can't see how it's going to benefit the Celtics if Pierce and Walker are going to jack up about 50 to 66% of the team's shots.
February 25, 200521 yr When i think or walker and marbury i consider them fake superstars. You almost always hear them considered ''superstars''. When i think of superstars i think of players that can go onto practically any team in the league and not have them be one of the worst teams in the nba. You telling me that the talent is not there for the knicks? Both walker and marbury need to take paycuts. All they both do is cry complain while making more money in one season than all of the people who have participated in this thread will make in our lifetimes. I have heard alot of people calling for ainge's head today. How do you trade for a player after you talk s*** about him and he does the same to you? As dbaho just showed his numbers are brutal. February 25, 200521 yr QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 11:35 PM) Now go find something from your bible (aka rotoworld) to say otherwise. This made little sense to me when i first read it. Now that i read it again and looked at what rotoworld had to say about it i am confused even more. Edited February 25, 200521 yr by qwerty
February 25, 200521 yr Did anyone else see this trade as well? You can say goodbye Mike Dunleavy. He also unloaded the remaining three years and $13.7 million on Eduardo Najera's contract in a separate trade, sending Najera, rookie Luis Flores and a future first-round draft pick to Denver for Tskitishvili and White.
February 25, 200521 yr QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 08:54 AM) Did anyone else see this trade as well? You can say goodbye Mike Dunleavy. Both Tskitishvili and White are free agents this summer - Tskitishvili's 4th year option wasn't taken up, and White has a $2.1m team option for next year which will more than likely not be triggered. It's audition time for them. Cheaney's gone too, so that leaves Dunleavy, Cabarkapa, Pietrus and occasionally J-Rich, to play SF A lot of large contracts, mean that one of Dunleavy and Pietrus will probably be traded this summer - The Warriors can't afford an extension for both. The rumor is that Dunleavy is more likely, but he is Mullin's "goldenchild" so nothing is certain yet. It'll be an interesting summer.
February 26, 200521 yr QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 05:37 AM) 24 and 10 in his first game What a terrrrrrrible trade, huh. He does that every single game, so what? Antoine Walker's Game Log I thought we already established that there are players in this league who fill up box scores, but are not winners. I'm sure you realize that, but you're just looking for any possible reason to defend a Boston team/player.

February 26, 200521 yr QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 04:37 PM) 24 and 10 in his first game What a terrrrrrrible trade, huh. He shot 10 from 18 from the floor and 4-6 from the FT line. Something tells me he ain't going to keep those percentages up for the rest of the season. Good to see Delonte West had a good game as well. Al Jefferson shows what he's capable of in 12 minutes on the floor going 4-4.
February 26, 200521 yr QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 06:17 AM) He did have a rare night tonight though shooting wise. 10-18 or something like that. Rare indeed. He's been absolutely brutal from the field all month, especially on the road.

February 26, 200521 yr QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 26, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) No question about it. They should give those guys (especially Jefferson) as many minutes as possible. I don't think Danny Ainge would mind that at all. The problem is, Doc Rivers wants no rookies on the floor come playoff time.

I'm looking for any possible reason to shut you people the hell up. If I bring up stats, you say he's not a winner. If I say I like his style, you just throw stats out there. There's no winning.
