In a good way? Or should Brewers teammates start watching their backs?

 

"In a good way," Lee said. "I like to have a good time. I enjoy the game. But at the same time I like to let other guys know that we have to go about our business hard. At one point I can be a funny guy, at one point I can be a jerk."

I definitely wish Carlos the best in Milwaukee.

It's been said in other articles that the players that had to go were traded or let go. The implication was that they did not fit with the team philosophy and did not belong. Sort of an "if you're not with us, you're against us" idea.

 

It's fairly obvious how that applies to maggs, but not as obvious with Lee.

 

Was it just his not retaliating for the Burke incident? Is there more to it?

I'm gonna miss Carlos play in left for the Sox. I may go up to a Twins/Brewers interleague game just to see him play.

As hard as he works, he is still not the brightest guy out there, and never will be. I'm sure that is part of the reason.

There was a question of work ethic with Carlos, at least from Kenny's point of view.

 

It's been known that Carlos or Konerko had to go in order to free up the payroll to sign some guys this off-season. Konerko was a Kenny guy; Carlos was not.

Contrast the way Carlos left with the way Maggs did. It tells me what kind of guy Carlos is. He has never bad-mouthed this organization even though he probably has a few gripes. Most the guys do charity work but I know Carlos always gives that extra effort too. I think he has reached deity status in Panama.

Had his gripes?! You kidding me...he got traded to Milwaukee. Of course he has gripes.

 

I love Carlos as a player, but the Sox needed to shed some salary, and it had to of been one of Konerko and Lee, so, whatever.

 

Consider that freeing up Carlos got us Iguchi, Duque, and AJP, along with Pods and Vizcaino...that's not a bad net profit for a good OFer.

I'll be maing the trip up to Miller Park to see a game sometime this summer with my aunt and uncle who live about an hour west of the ballpark. It'll be great to see Carlos continually kill the Cubs.
