Carmen DeFalco White Sox Color Analyst Substitute

by Steven Skaggs at 12:19PM (CST) on March 11, 2005

Carmen DeFalco, show host and pregame and postgame host for WMVP-AM (ESPN 1000) has signed on to do two Chicago White Sox spring training games as the television color analyst.  DeFalco will be working with legendary Sox broadcaster Ken "Hawk" Harrelson and filling in for regular Sox color commentator Darrin Jackson.  DeFalco has proven to be a versatile performer for WMVP as a reporter, show host, and Bulls pregame and postgame host.  He seems to be the frontrunner for taking over Jay Mariotti's old 9:00 to noon time slot on WMVP along with co-host Marc Silverman.  The pair have been filling in as temporary hosts of the show.  An announcement naming the new permanent hosts of the "Midday Show" is expected prior to March 31, the beginning of the Arbitron spring ratings period.

Yup.

Robin better still be in the booth. Otherwise, I got excited for nothing. BTW, is it me or is Konerko a really good speaker? I see a future as a color commentator for him.
