Sick and dehydrated

thank goodness for the off-day.

We won a game on excellent starting pitching and excellent bullpen work. Kudos to this team.

where did u hear that from, can u confirm it?

Good work Shingo!

And the reason why i dont like bringing in a closer with a man on base is that they dont have a chance to get into the flow of the game, and can be beat by 1 bad pitch.

Where as Marte already had made a few pitches.

Just personal preference.

The easiest save op for Shingo was the one he blew.

I know he has three saves but he only has two cheap ones. He closed out the first game of the year with one full inning pitched.

Good call on the homer...

5-2 feels good :)

Ok, for those of you just checking in:

Millwood pitched an excellent game. Kept the Sox hitter guessing through out.

Garcia was fantastic. Pitched 8 GREAT innings, despite not having his best stuff.

Sox Ozzieballed their way to victory.

Podsednik pulled in the eigth, if he is ok, then it was a fantastic day.

ohh, i see

Don't say the "wind won the game for us", because that's part of the many aspects of this game. Last year, we would have LOST this game 1-0 beacuse we couldn't find a way to hit a home run on a day the wind was blowing in so heavy...this season, (with Pods), we MANUFACTUERED two runs to win when homers werent possible.

The fact that Celeveland relies on the long ball is why they lost this game. If the wind is blowing in and you can't adapt and change your game, you lose.

And we win.

There is no such thing.  That's crazy talk.

1/3 of an inning is cheap. First of all to get credited with a save while being up by three is a joke.

Let''s not forget that Pods was involved in each run scored today.

How many mistakes can this tool on Comcast make? Dr. Zero? WTF?

I did not actually think he was giving up a homerun... i was just saying what would have happened if he blew the game. I was one of the few that wanted shingo in this game.

Millwood 0-1 with a 1.38ERA. OUCH

Must be from ball state...

I can only imagine this roster if we had landed Eckstein. Pds and Eckstein at the top of the order, ouch! Plus if we moved Uribe to 3rd full time and signed Gooch... yikes!

FWIW, I don't like them at all.

:lolhitting

Yeha having Eckstein and not having Crede sure looks good in hindsight. Well, we'll just hope that Joe is gonna become passable until we can make a move

Good way to come back from last night.
