This is why Dye shouldn't be in the 5 hole! Absolutely no excuses for this.

Yay, Dye is up.

Ball 4 to Pauly, first and second now with 2 down to Dye.

I would almost rather see AJ hitting 5th than Dye right now...

Another missed opportunity.

I hate Jermaine Dye. Seriously, how far away is Anderson? I know they'll never bench Dye, I just want to know.

Dye's so off-balanced at the plate that he can't even capitalize on hanging curves. That's about 5 times in this series he had to swing all arms at a great pitch to hit.

Carl f***ing Crawford :bang

That was a fairly easy play. You should be saying Jermaine f***ing Dye.

Can Ozzie crack walker in the back of the head and tell him to stop teaching the dip the back shoulder and elevate. This flyball to the track crap didnt work last year when we had thumpers on the team.

Konerko and Dye are hitless in the Tampa series so far, and the only hits Everett had were two infield hits.

Dye as a DH is a joke. Giambi is hitting .195 and they are contemplating sending him to the minors. Dye is hitting .194 and he bats 5th as the DH.

Someone needs to remind the Sox that swinging for the fences is not the only method to scoring runs...

Wow! Bottom of the 1st and I see it's very optimistic in here. :headshake

Besides like two hits apiece in Toronto, when was the last time either of those guys had a hit?

Exactly. As I was saying last night, just look at how Dye takes pitches. He has terrible form at the plate right now. He needs to get his lower body into the swing.

When Timo is leading off, Dye is the DH, and Konerko is clean-up, there isn't much reason to be optimistic.

Its the Greg Walker way. Dip your back shoulder, elevate your hands and pull baseball son. If you hit it to the warning track then you are getting closer. Keep it up.

No doubt, the lynch mob has made an early appearence. :stick

DJ asking for the baseball gods to start helping us out? In all honesty, I think the baseball gods have been more than helpful this season. Seems like we have got a lot of breaks so far this year.

Two quick outs for El Duque, Crawford up.

HE GAWN!!!! Hernandez with a quick first inning of work.

K's Crawford. Quick 1-2-3 for the Duke. I hope this isn't like Contreras last night...he had a quick 1st inning, too.

Come on Sox, I almost want to switch Iguchi to No 7 in the lineup since the bottom of the order seems to be the only ones that can produce.

Remember last year with Crede. The arc he had in his swing is exactly what Konerko and Dye are doing this year. Last year if anyone threw a hanging curve that bit down and in Crede crushed it. If you elevated the fastball its over. Konerko and Dye were good fastball hitters. Now they are getting overmatched with 91-92mph fastballs.
