Is there something wrong with Politte, He has defiantly been on this year, but i havent seen him for like a week and a half...maybe i am just thinking this way because when i saw ozzie warming up cotts and vis I thought to myself what the hell is he doing Cliff is like on a weeks rest

you make a good point.... but sometimes you want to keep the runs down and it seems when cotts comes in with runners on he lets them score. All he needed was a ground ball, but instead on his first pitch he hits the batter and loads the bases

Well, on saturday I felt that Politte should have come in for the 7th, with the game tied and Freddy looking like he was sleeping. Instead, Ozzie leaves Freddy in, walks the first guy and he brings in Cotts. What?

Right now Politte and Hermy are the only 2 guys in the pen that don't make me sweat when they enter the game.

Everyone else is a crap shoot.

Only 3.2 IP at home where he has an 0.00 ERA IIRC. And no, we're not talking about the Big Red Dog.

 

And why dont we use him more?

What is even scarier is that he has not been our best reliever.

6 innings at home pitched now and he still hasn't given up an ER. Very glad the Sox re-did his contract as well, so we have an option year on him.
