That's because you never sleep.

I get 7-8 hours if I can. Sometimes, just 6.

QUOTE(Iwritecode @ May 25, 2005 -> 04:16 PM)
I usually get  4-6 on weeknights and 7-8 on weekends.

Mostly it's because I never want to go to bed at night. That's usually when I am most awake...

It's 1:30 AM and I am here reading this message board instead of sleeping like I should be...

:banghead

OK, one more game of solitare and then I'm done. :P

Sleep is overrated...

No doubt... we will get enough sleep when we're dead.... :D

I was wondering if that was an original line that Nas came up with, or if someone had used it before.

Me too. I don't know why I can't sleep. I'm not stressed.. I don't think I am overly tired (which I have heard makes some people restless). I eat right, I work out, I try to keep on a fairly normal schedule.. but I toss and turn relentlessly. And no matter what time I goto bed I am awake at 4:30 ish - which is good since I usually use that time to run.. but sucks when we're at the game or out the night before. Once in a blue moon I will take an afternoon nap on the weekends.. but that's pretty rare.

Maybe you need a different bed...either its too soft or solid. :huh I had a bed that was way too soft and I could never get good sleep.

I'd say don't worry about it, unless you feel tired during the day and it affects your work. Mr Dr. told me that some people just don't need as much and to listen to my body. Another tip is don't go to bed until you're actually sleepy. A lot of people go to bed because it's 'bed time', go when you're ready to sleep.

Also, contrary to what a Dr. will tell you, I'm a firm believer in 'catch up sleep'. Once every 10 days or so, I will collapse and get like 9 hours. That's when my body tells me I need it.

At College my sleep patterns flux violently. 6 hours, 12 hours, 3 hours, who knows. Usually I aim for a minimum of 7 hours and take anything more than that.

Actually, the person that first expressed that sentiment was Jules Verne's character Captain Nemo from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".
