El Duque

Featured Replies

Did anyone else feel he was gonna pull something running the basepaths? Especially with the tumble through second? :D

Well this is a late reply but yes.

Yes it was scary!

also a question,

what exactly is the reason pitchers wear jackets ont he basepaths?

to keep their arms warm and therefore loose.

And to look badass so no one picks on them.

They do look badass with the jackets on.

It's kinda like..."We can wear our jackets and you can't! b****es!" Lol but to stay on topic, Yes, I laughed my ass off when El Duque fell at 2nd AND when Cliff tagged to go to 3rd.

To keep as warm as possible so they don't cramp up.

Ha! Before the DH, every 7 year old kid knew the answer to that question. It's amazing how things change over the years.

I don't remember what if i knew that from when i was seven. I did to much of this :banghead from age 7 to now.

Players would be considered a puss if they wore a jacket, but the pitchers do and no one messes with them and the jackets are so f***in sweet to.

I can't wait till we don't have to visit anymore nl parks. I get nervous when any of our pitchers have to run. I don't want any part of an nl park until the world series. :D

The pitchers wore jackets on the bases and between innings even back in those days.

well i figured the obvious answer, thought maybe there was something else to it.

does a jacket make that big of a difference?

Hernandez and Politte batting and running around yesterday was very funny. Than that Ump got nailed by that goofy throw. I think that was the best game all year.

I don't know. I've never been a pitcher. But it must keep that arm warm or they wouldn't bother.
