These so called experts keep saying how weak the central is throughout the whole year but it looks like maybe 2 teams will make the postseason and cleveland has been on fire lately.... So screw off Gammons,Starks,Rosenthal, and Rogers
June 17, 200520 yr The division is still very top heavy imo. I think the Sox and Twins are the two best teams in the al but after that I don't think to highly of any of the other 3 teams and that's including the Indians.
June 17, 200520 yr I think terms get tossed around without anyone really defining what they are saying. "Best Division" means different things to different people. Is best the best, most closely matched, then the NL East comes to mind. Most likely to produce a WS Champ, then most of the time the AL East comes to mind. Best teams top to bottom, etc. It all depends on how you define a division. I don't believe trips to Detroit or Kansas City are striking fears into any teams. Cleveland maybe. Minny and Chicago, yes. Does that make the Central the "best" division?

But the Yankees are playing like crap, despite whatever talent they have on paper. Their team is just not very good. I think certainly Toronto and maybe even Baltimore will fade. That division will be pretty bad when it's all said and done, in my opinion.

June 17, 200520 yr The division is a lot better then any in recent memory. Twins and Sox are the havyweights. Indians and Tigers both have a respectable teams around 500. And KC is KC.
