It looks like Batista started to charge the pitcher but thought better of it and just ran to 1st base instead. Afterall, the pitcher was a midget compared to him.

Yep, the pitcher in the video is Masanori Ishikawa of the Yakult Swallows. Shingo played with him on the Swallows in 2002 and 2003.
