I'm not sold on McCarthy yet. He has been struggling in AAA and got rocked his last big league start. I know most of you guys are have a high opinoin of this guy, he just hasn't shown me much yet.

Umm, you need to recognize that the reporter is at fault in this particular situation. If I was Maddux, and you asked me this question, I'd have taken a shot at Buehrle as well.

 

Besides, after Maddux found out what the deal was, he joked that he had never used a spitball, but he used a "sweatball" against Tony Gwynn, and he still couldn't get him out.
