Burning the pen tonite, 1st game of the series, not good. It's a good thing the pen was rested coming into tonite. Very good to have a rested pen when your 5th starter is throwing ... El Duque or McCarthy.

With Garland and Buehrlle pitching the next two games, should not have to go to the pen until the 7th or 8tth.

 

Cotts is young and rested. he should be able to give them a couple of innings.

I don't understand all of this Ozzie loves Viz stuff. He has hardly pitched at all since he has started sucking in important situations. But in the fith freaking inning, you have to dig down deep in your bullpen. I wish it would have been Shingo tho. His confidence has to be gone by now.

Thats 2 games Viz f***ed up for bmac.. Not that mac deserved the win today but still, the lead was there.....

God I love Neal. Aquire another BP arm or call up BAJ and Jenks so we can start Neal.

if buehrle was pitching i wouldn't be too worried. but garland can still get torched. he's gonna have to take one for the team tomorrow.

Nobody was up that inning. You have to at least let the kid try to get out of it with a lead that big. Nobody would have been ready for Stairs.

Yeah, he really didn't deserve the win honestly. But we need to do something with Vizcaino. He is brutal.

Excellent observation. And I agree, the bullpen is miscast. They have no long man and it's getting increasingly harder to carry both Vizcaino and Shingo. Something has to give.
