White Sox at A's 7/2 Gamethread

That ball was crushed...Paulie would have been out on a good throw there though.

A.J., I have 2 words for you here: Productive out. If you make an out, Paulie has to end up at 3rd. No matter what.

And he does. Hard hit ball up the middle, gets Paulie to 3rd. Nice play by the 2nd baseman saves them a run. Now we need a flyball or a single from ARow.

Aaron's due to catch fire pretty soon.

Aaron with a base hit. 1-0 Sox

Aaron Rowand, taking it the other way!

ARow RULES! Good work all around. Smart Baseball there.

Every time Timo swings and misses...drink.

Timo you suck.

f*** you Timo. I'm so happy we're playing him instead of the red-hot Everett.

Man, Oakland got lucky there...terrible control on the field there, Sarloos had no reason to be over there like that...it's the pitcher's job to call people off.

CREDE! RBI single, back up the box. :headbang

JOE! JOE! JOE! It's now 2 to JOE! 2 out RBI, ground ball up the Middle.

Good job by Crede and Rowand of not trying to do too much with these meatball pitches.

Good job Joe!!

Yes Crede yes!

Weak popout by Uribe, but a good inning overall. Scoring runs without the longball, productive outs, timely hitting and running. I love seeing those kinds of innings.

I disagree, that was a very good play. That was great hustle by the pitcher to get over there. Chavez and Kendall had a lot more ground to cover on that play than Saarloos did.

Fine play by Scotty. 1 out

Nice pitches by Jon, great work getting to that ball by Pods, make sure that Jon doesn't have to throw Chavez another pitch. Good job getting a jump on that one Scotty.

Good catch by Pods out there. Takes a lot of concentration in that area to stay with the ball.

Garland throwing his changeup is so pretty. That pitch has become so good for him...

Man did he ever Chew up and spit out Eric Chavez on that 2-1 pitch, he was so far out in front of that pitch it could have been thrown by Shingo.

Another easy 1-2-3 for Jon.

Agreed. Garland in the past used to always seem to hang (too high) that changeup in crucial spots, and usually paid for it with a 2 or 3 run homer against him. I have so many memories of Hawk just being pissed off that Garland threw a high changeup to a lefty, instead of getting beat with his sinker.

Hey folks. Chat room is open for business again. Stop by and say hey.

Garland's making them swing the bat. This game looks promising. Hopefully, the offense stays with their approach.

I don't get to watch the Sox a lot, but has Pods been taking fewer pitches over the past few months?
