I have Home for Emily purchased, but will need a few more tunes for tonight's storm. Kap mentioned natural disaster tunes. Suggestions?

Rock you like a Hurricane - Scorpions :headbang

Blow Away, George Harrison

Like a Hurricane, Neil Young

Riding the Storm Out, REO Speedwagon

Here Comes the Rain Again - Eurythmics

I think the obvious choice here is Joan Baez's Blowin in the Wind. :D

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

It's about bad weather and may last as long as the hurricane does.

What about that song about that boxer by Bob Dylan?

Well there's floodin' down in Texas, all of the telephone lines are down

And I've been tryin' to call my baby, Lord and I can't get a single sound

Well dark clouds are rollin' in, man I'm standin' out in the rain

Well dark clouds are rollin' in, man I'm standin' out in the rain

Yeah flood water keep a rollin', man it's about to drive poor me insane

Well I'm leavin' you baby, Lord and I'm goin' back home to stay

Tex, did I ever tell you I own a Fender Telecaster that I got autographed by Stevie Ray in '87??

I know it should be a Strat, but I only owned the Tele at the time.

Beatiful song.

He played a concert at UofI Follenger (sp?) Auditorium. I literally had just finished taking a mid-term exam in that very auditorium like an hour before the concert. Some friends (well, former friends, seeing as the lead singer shagged my girlfriend shortly after this time) of mine were the opening band, so I had an in to meet Stevie after the show. It was right after he had done the rehab thing, and he was absolutely the nicest guy you could ever meet.

Do you always attend concerts with your guitar? Kind of like taking a glove to a baseball game? You never know when you will catch a cord?

Maybe not--there was a big baby boom in FLA 9 months after all their hurricanes. I mean, the power's probably already out. . .

My dorm was literally right across the street from the Auditorium. When the house lights came up at the end of the show i ran back to my room to grab my guitar.
