Clayton Richard with another pretty good outing...

Perhaps B-Mac is using his change a lot more, and still trying to get used to throwing it for strikes, instead of just relying on his fastball - curve combo. Nevertheless, another good outing.

 

Matt Nachreiner had 4 K's in 2IP for Great Falls. Needs to make a move soon. Richard is looking good thus far though, a chance to pitch in Kanny at the start of next season perhaps?

Heath had command trouble not meaning falling behind hitters but trouble locating in the strike zone left to many pitches high in the zone. B.J. LaMura came in gave up a bases loaded triple and followed that up with a double before calming down and threw 2 solid innings with 4 looking strike outs. On offense Darren Blakely had a 2 hit game, Chris Stewart, Jerry Owens also had 2 hit games. Chris Young hit his 33rd Double tonight only 6 off Maggs record.

Well, it seems like the BB’s aren’t hurting him that much. As long as he can get the next guy(s) out without the walks coming back to bite him, then he should do all right.

Perhaps B-Mac is using his change a lot more, and still trying to get used to throwing it for strikes, instead of just relying on his fastball - curve combo. Nevertheless, another good outing.

I noticed Nachreiner had a good outing. 4 K's in 2 innings for Great Falls. He's always had a great arm, I'm starting to wonder if he's on the verge of figuring things out (still has a very high ERA).

 

GF gave up all unearned runs in the loss, rough way to go down.

Phillips didn't pitch badly at all. He started a little shaky, allowing three runs in the first two innings. He then settled down nicely until tiring in the 7th. He went into the 7th down just 4-3. He was obviously tiring in the 7th. After a bunt hit and two singles to CF it was 5-3 and he was laboring. Razor left him in and he issued his only walk of the game to the next hitter to load the bases. LaMura comes in and a triple, double and a single and next thing you know the bases are cleared and two more runs are home, making it 10-3.
