Great, addictive puzzle

Featured Replies

Anyone seen this or tried it before? It's in the Sun Times every day except Sundays and I'm hooked. It doesn't require math or number skills, really. Give it a shot and tell me what you think.

Ah yes, I have also become addicted to Sudoku.

I found today's puzzle easier than yesterday's, altough the Sun Times claims the puzzles get harder as the week progresses.

This is SO addictive. I've been playing for a month or so and wind up staying up into the wee hours trying to solve it!

www.sudoku.org is a great site, too

i agree.

it's really a great timewaster

good stuff, very creative

I did one a few weeks ago and forgot what it was called. Thanks for posting that.

I've gotten pretty good at it actually.

Anyone care to share their solving secrets or strategy?

there's a great online website

i'm still pretty bad, it takes me about 15 minutes for the easy ones.

Here's another great site:

There's an easy, medium and hard sudoku daily.

And, yes, I'm addicted.

Wow, if 15 minutes for the easier ones is bad, then I'm bad, lol.

Thx for the link.

I've read a few good suggestions on the websites listed. I'm proud to say I nailed today's "diabolical" in the LA TIMES in about 20 minutes, a record for me.

I saw an ad for it in the the Sun times, but I had no clue what to do. Looked for directions...none. :huh

Same, the Suntimes just says go to our new hit puzzle. Then they don't tell you what to do. Confusing indeed.

That's wierd, for the 1st week or so, they gave you all the instructions on what the goal of the puzzle is. Try the web sites, they should have the rules.

If you need still help, PM me, I'll explain it.

Much easier in real life.

I'm now able to get the "easy ones" off websoduki.com in about 10 minutes

I tried out some of the puzzles at the SunTimes site and I swear the very easy took me longer than the medium lol!

I think it just took me a little while to get used to the rules.

Keep playing, you'll develop your own system for solving, then you'll get better and better.

I'm probably at the intermmediate level. The tough ones still kick my ass, but I can't stop playing.

I've done about 10 of them....you definitely get better the more ya do. I have never finished a Friday or Saturday one yet, but I breezed through Monday -Thursday last week...which was my first week doing them every day.
