Can Anyone Tell me what Song this is?

Featured Replies

Alright, it's a song that's in one of the Cingular commercials (at the end, the guy is parked uphill outside his girlfriend's house), and it sounds like it's from the 60's/70's. For all I know it's a very famous song by a very famous artist, but I've never heard it before.

The only part of the lyrics I could catch were "Rode into Nazareth/Was feeling bout Half Past Dead/Just need a place/Where I can rest my head"

I searched google, and all I found was that have been by a band called "Weight" (or Weight was the song title) but I searched that a little bit, and couldn't find anything.

So, can anyone tell me what song this is?

No question about that!

it was good

until the commercial ruined it.

any commercial w/ a song in it is death for that song, you hear it so many times subconciously

He just grinned and shook my hand, and no!, was all he said.

Kind of weird that someone didn't know that song.

Aaach?!?

Despite Robbie being Canadian-born, the Band is an American treasure.

Turn in your headphones!

Who made the song that's in a lot of the new Jaguar tv commercials? The vocals sorta-kinda sound like Ozzie Osbourne, but the music is kinda popish, almost dancy. I think the one line says: "don't ever ask me where I go".

Anyone?

It's Aqueduct - "Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights". It's a damn good song. Aqueduct is a pretty good band.

They're a fairly new band, as of right now you'd only be able to find maybe 2 CDs of theirs. One would be "Pistols at dawn" which I think only has 6 songs on it, one track being "Hardcore Days & Softcore Nights" which was on the Jaguar commercial but that track is also on "I sold Gold" which is technically their first real CD. "Pistols at Dawn" has Who Wanna Rock? on it which is an absolutely great track, which is not found on "I sold Gold"

I suggest you check out "I Sold Gold" which is an excellent CD. The lead singer has that bit of Ozzie in his voice which is awesome, some songs you'll hear him slip out of it and feature something completely different. The song you heard on the Jaguar commercial isn't even their best song, so if you liked that, most likely you'll like their other stuff.

Thx man. Just bounced around on their site and heard a few tracks, I see what you mean about the vocals. He doesn't even really sound that much like Ozzie on other tracks, but I needed a comparison in order to describe the sound.

I'm sold. I also realized I've seen one of thier videos somewhere before, maybe on Subterranean. :huh

So, now that they're on a Jaguar commercial, how long til they get to wear the 'sell out' tag?
