When you combine throwing arm/accuracy into the equation, that's where I think someone like Rowand is overrated.  Basically, if we had a power offense, then he would fit in well.  However, when you already have a SS and 3B who could be defined as defensive specialists, then you have the makings of a bad offense.

 

Last year his arm was very strong and accurate. This year he can't hit a cut off man for anything and still has troubles picking up balls from the ground. He either runs by the ball or bobbles it while picking it up alot. That really needs to be worked on.

So, what's our projected clinch date?  Honestly, I'm thrilled with how this week went.  I'm nervous about the Rangers series, as I don't think we can outslug them.  Their hitter seem to match up very well with our pitchers.

Last time I heard someone predict a Sox sleep, we lost 2 of 3 at KC. I'll be thrilled with a 3 out of 4 in Texas, and content if we split the series.

Yes we have good pitching and they have good hitting in a little funk but it seems like right now we cant catch any breaks. I wouldn't underestimate their offense even if it was in a slump.

 

We need a minumum of 2, anything more is a plus.
