Huge risk by Ozzie in leaving Garland in. I'm glad it worked out. :sweep: :gosox1:

En route to the Cy Young baby.....17-7.....still low 3 ERA....get to 20 wins Big Jon and you will get it.

Two words:

HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an awesome game by Jon... win #17 with his second 4 hit shutout of the Tigers... Now just rattle off 3 more wins at least...

Great job Garland. :notworthy

Poor old Tiggers :crying

:sweep:

Heck yes.

Just thought I'd switch it up a little.

im sad to say it, but it looks like colon might get the cy young..... lower era then jon and more wins... but buerhle has a good shot with most ips lowest era and 15 wins

but hell yeah ...f off maggs

its so nice to have some breathing room again (if 6.5 games isn't) I am proud of the series against Detroit, and would like to thank Minnesota for taking care of the Tribe.

White Sox, yes.

Thank goodness.

I was gonna lose it and turn to the dark side (damn pessimists :P) if it ever got under 5...

Yes, it is nice to have a big lead this late in the season. It is just odd rooting for MIN.

It is also nice to bring out the brooms since the Sox dominated DET with great pitching and great hitting!

:sweep: :sweep: :sweep: :sweep:

We swept a losing team. Let's not get too excited.

Tomorrow is much more important than these games. And this entire month, save perhaps for the Cleveland series, will pale in comparison to the Los Angeles of Anaheim games.

If we win those, which is far from certain, then maybe you can get excited.

A win's a win. We're not bringing many regulars to Boston tomorrow. It's not exactly going to be a measure of anything.

Exactly.

And how can you not get excited about a sweep and extending the lead to 9.5?

Yeah, winning tomorrow would be more like a bonus to me than anything else. We should have a contest to predict tomorrow's starting line-up.

I'm not exactly the easiest person to make happy, but I'm thrilled with this wknd series we just had. We just took any momentum the Indians might have had, and shoved it where the sun don't shine. Our pitchers definitely seemed to have a swagger about them this week. It was great to see hot swinging players like Young and Pena do nothing against our guys.

All that extra money is gonna get him a nice tee time in Florida next month.

These are the types of fans I feel sorry for.

They can find the negative in anything..

The game was too short; we should've played for 2 hours and 8 minutes.

76 degrees isn't warm enough for a game time temperature.

Haha, that was pretty lame, but we got to see Strong Sad...
