I double dare y'all to find a more handsome manager in recent history. Some guys just have all of the luck.

How can you forget The Bev?

I still shake my head when he went to the bullpen and nobody was warming up.

You just had me laughing out loud.

Classic.

LOL, I am still a young guy so I don't remember much before Manuel but I recall this story vaguely. Can anyone tell me the whole story because I remember it being hilarious.

Uhhhh.....he went to call for a reliever and nobody was warming up.

Not much more to it.

Not there needs to be - that's funny all on its own.

I met Bev when he was Managing for Shreveport a couple years ago. Really nice guy, and he had a lot of nice things to say about Sox fans, despite the boos. For the stats heads, Bev had one of the better winning percentages as a Sox manager.

We were in the wildcard hunt until the end in 1997.

Ah, Danny Tartabull...we hardly knew ye!

Well, when my friend called to ask me I was stumped....but told him if I had to guess I would say Bevington. He was arguing with another friend of ours and he called me for the answer...but it was so out of left field, I drew a blank.

In all seriousness though, why would I WANT to remember him? It must be a mental block afterall.......
