October 6, 200520 yr How many here would have interest in a Sports Memorabilia/Tickets Buy/Sell/Trade Area on Soxtalk? A place for members of our community to share tickets, sports cards and sports memorabilia. A substitute to ebay.
October 6, 200520 yr The only hang up would be no tickets could be listed above face value because of ticketscalping laws.
October 6, 200520 yr yeah that is fine. Now the rest of it could be cool. It would be a neat place to sell autographs, memorablilia, give aways etc.
October 6, 200520 yr Author It would keep it in a centrally located spot. No cluttering up Pale Hose Talk.
October 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 12:53 PM) Didnt we try this before? That was just a ticket swap thread. This sounds like an entire subforum for memorabilia/ticket trade and sell.
October 6, 200520 yr well then I will be the first to post. I have 2 extras to game 6. I want 2 for either game one or two. PM me if interested.
October 6, 200520 yr Author Go big, I say. Sox, Bears, Bulls, Hawks tix... Other sports stuff... Cards, pennants, autographs, plaques, bats, balls... etc.
October 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Go big, I say. Sox, Bears, Bulls, Hawks tix... Other sports stuff... Cards, pennants, autographs, plaques, bats, balls... etc. I really like this idea. Ebay has some big downsides, this would really centralize the whole thing and would be a great place to find Chicago stuff.
October 6, 200520 yr speaking of bears tickets i have two CLUB seats for the october 23 game against the ravens...anyone interested let me know....
October 6, 200520 yr QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) I really like this idea. Ebay has some big downsides, this would really centralize the whole thing and would be a great place to find Chicago stuff. Plus no Ebay fees.
October 6, 200520 yr Author See... Stuff like this can be kept in an organized place away from the main forums. I think it would make for a better Soxtalk experience. Of course, did I fail to mention the Gage-tax on every transaction?
October 6, 200520 yr Still lookinf for game 1 or game 2 tickets , need at least 2 , four would be great.. anyone? soxpranos@gmail.com
October 6, 200520 yr It'd be a good forum for peoeple to take digital photos of theri stuff and just simply share with others as well. I know I have stuff I'd like to sow off as I'm sure many of us do
October 7, 200520 yr We actually have been discussing a little bigger idea than that, that would include your idea. Conceptually it would be a section of the board complete dedicated to Soxtalk and its posters. It would include the section that we have been talking about here (ticketswap, autographs, memorabilia etc), the Hall of Fame, a history section, the Soxtalk store/donations area, and anything else we could think of. How does that sound to people?
October 7, 200520 yr I have 2 tix for Game#7 I would like to trade for game #1 or 2. I also have 2 tickets to home games #2, and 3 (ALCS games 4 and 5) in Anaheim. I would also trade those for Game 1 or 2 for Chicago Game #1 or 2.
October 7, 200520 yr Author Apparently, it must be an affirmative opinion, based on the posting of the above person.
October 7, 200520 yr QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) The only hang up would be no tickets could be listed above face value because of ticketscalping laws. Are you sure about that? I know they just recently changed the law that allows people to sell tickets online for above face value. The keyword being "online".

The keyword being "online". To be honest I have zero knowledge of that. I have never ever heard of it before. If you have a link or something I would like to see it.
